Darcy is settling in very well.  She was not happy to ride in the back cargo area with Chance on the ride home so Gary dropped the back seat when we stopped for gas.  After that she laid down and was very calm the rest of the way home.  We stopped at PetSmart on the way in and got a new collar for her.  She picked red and we agreed it looked great on her.

When we arrived home I took her for a long walk around the neighborhood and then around our property.  Darcy was very interested in all the new sights and especially the smells.  I don’t think she had ever seen horses before because as we walked past the pasture she asked “what kind of dogs are those?”.

After dinner she settled on a blanket in the living room and slept until about 3am.  Something must have startled her because she came in the bedroom and started licking my hand.  We let her out and after a romp around the yard she and Chance spent the rest of the night in his huge house.

Darcy has an appointment with our vet on Tuesday for a check over and to get her heart worm meds

She is truly a part of our family and we are so thankful to have her.  We look forward to many happy years together.

Thanks again for your help,
J
