Hi, Jules!

I wanted to let you know that Moon is doing GREAT!  She is just the best dog.  She did wonderful on the long ride to James Island.  We were so shocked how well the cats did with her and she was well behaved with them, too.  She is such an intelligent, obedient dog!  Not only that, she is very loving and playful.  We are so very lucky to have her in our lives - thanks to you!  I didn't expect her to take to us so quickly.  We already love her so much.  She's having a great time exploring our neighborhood and spending time being loved on.  She paced a bit last night, but once we closed our bedroom door, she felt a bit more at ease and went to sleep.  She is very attached to me, which gives her a lot of separation anxiety.  I'm working on leaving the house for small periods to get her used to the idea and of course, to assure her that I won't be leaving her permanently.  We're hoping that we can make her understand that she is part of our family and she isn't going anywhere.  I know that is hard for a dog that has had several homes.  She is still warming up to our son, but I know that will take time.  He really loves her and keeps telling her "I love you, Moon".  It's really sweet.  Even though my husband was really concerned about getting a dog, he now realizes that Moon is the best dog we could have gotten.  He already adores her.

I've attached a couple pictures from last night and this morning.   As you can see, she is already right at home and comfy as can be!  She's such an amazing dog and can't believe how lucky we are to have her!

Thanks for everything and I promise to keep in touch.

Terri
